Very small and very clean airport. Not many flights so never crowded. There are a few souvenir shops and a caffe' where you can get refreshments and snacks. I've only been to Lampedusa twice, and both times during July (2017 & 2019) and haven't had any negative experiences at all. It's a pleasure to come here. Easy in and out! Inexpensive flights to Lampedusa from Catania or Palermo airports in about 1 hour, gate to gate.
Terrible security staff. Fully Vaccinated, with Proof. Was able to travel all over Italy without a problem, except at this dump. When my Italian sister In law tried to argue our point, they threatened to arrest her.
